Music performances by:

Trout Steak Revival
Ever since winning the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, the group has quickly become the quintessential Colorado Band and nominated as a Momentum Band of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association. Defined more by expressive songwriting and heartfelt harmonies rather than any one genre, Trout Steak Revival crosses over and blends the bounds of folk, indie, bluegrass, and roots, and in doing so, evokes its own style of Americana. With five band members all contributing unique lyrics, lead vocals, acoustic instrumentation and harmonies, the group joins us for their first appearance at the Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival.

Blue Canyon Boys
Every once in a while a band comes along that stands out amongst the crowded fields of the bluegrass world. The Blue Canyon Boys, a premier bluegrass band of the Rocky Mountain West, are one of those bands. Winners of the 2008 Telluride Bluegrass festival band contest, the group has gone on to perform across the country and were selected to represent the US and bluegrass music at the 14th annual Rainforest World Music Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia on the island of Borneo.

David Luning
Luning and his band set up shop at the stunning Panoramic Studios in Stinson, California, crafting a darker, grittier vibe for the music and exploring a wider palette than ever before. While many of Luning’s songs are inspired by the lives and stories of the men and women he’s grown up with in California or met on the road, the lyrics are all filtered through his own unique perspective and reflect his remarkable personal journey.

Run Boy Run
Existing comfortably in the tension between tradition and the musical frontier, this Tucson Americana quartet blends bluegrass, folk and the old-timey American vernacular with touches of classical and turn of the century details. Their new album, I Would Fly, features three original, harmony-rich songs and an upbeat cover of the Carter Family hit, “Hello Stranger”. It’s no surprise that the band counts Garrison Keillor of NPR’s ‘A Prairie Home Companion’ and renowned Irish fiddler Kevin Burke among their growing legion of fans.
