City of LV Family Bluegrass Festival May 20

Come and join us for the second annual Family Bluegrass Festival with toe-tappin’ hand-clappin’ traditional bluegrass music featuring some of the best bluegrass bands from across the country. Scheduled musical performances by Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising, Ragged Union, Rock Ridge Bluegrass Band, Out of the Desert and Still House Road. Other activities planned include Instrument Petting Zoo, Craft Marketplace and children’s make-and-take arts and crafts. Buster’s Dawg House & Kathy’s Bacon Creations will be on-site offering plenty of tasty treats. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the entertainment in comfort.     Nice day, great music, but very disappointed that the only food that was available was in a “Hot Dawg” wagon. Gotta do better than just that. A BBQ business that had initially planned to proved food were later told not to, according to one of the workers. Only had beer.

      Hi Keith, we are glad you had a nice day. We did too! I think there was another truck there with lots of bacon products but we agree some more variety would be nice. We were vendors there like everyone else, this event was put on by the city and not us. However we will pass along your comment and suggestion to the proper person for next year. Don’t miss our festival this October 13-15 at Craig Ranch Park called Viva Las VeGrass, we’ll have lots of food!
