Clark Co. Proclaims SNBMS Day

The Clark County, Nevada Board of Commissioners proclaimed October 20, 2015 be known as Southern Nevada Bluegrass Music Society Day. This was in recognition of the club’s tireless efforts over the last forty years in the form of festivals, concerts, pick outs and community outreach programs which have given many the opportunity to experience this cultural treasure.

In celebration of the club’s 40th anniversary and their two-day bluegrass festival in conjunction with the Logandale Fall Festival, the Board of Commissioners commended the group’s efforts in the preservation of Bluegrass Music as an American art form in Southern Nevada.

After the presentation and brief statements by board members Vera Vann-Wilson and Paul DePatta; they were joined on the floor by Brian Burns, Charlie Rodewald and Leon Evans for a performance enjoyed by the Commissioners and audience members alike.
